Marilyn Hucek is an American-Chilean artist and singer-songwriter born in Washington D.C. From a young age Marilyn would write songs before she knew what songwriting was and later learned to play piano and guitar. Growing up with a multicultural background her musical influences have been wide-ranging. She enjoys singing and writing in both English and Spanish, incorporating her upbringing into her artistry. Marilyn’s late father battled early-onset Alzheimer’s for several years, which impacted her deeply. She wrote and dedicated a special song in his honor which became her debut single and launched her career as a full-time artist. The themes in her music cover love, loss, heartbreak, and writing from personal experiences and observations. Since then Marilyn has amassed over 4 million streams, released 2 EPs, performed live at more than 150 venues of all shapes and sizes, and she's committed to using her voice and platform to help raise Alzheimer’s awareness.
